Must be able to successfully develop manufacturing processes and machine programs to produce customer-designed parts and assemblies. A vast knowledge of machines, software, materials, work instructions, quality assurance, and processes are required to accomplish this goal. Ensure that error-free manufacturing methods and machine programs result in parts that meet or exceed our customer’s quality and cosmetic requirements while adhering to our rigorous AS9100-compliant quality system.
Maintain a safe, positive, and ethical work environment
Use ERP software (Kinetic by Epicor), Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, Radan, and Cadman to design manufacturing methods and interpret customer requirements
Ensure all jobs in engineering are completed on time and with accuracy
Work with customers concerning manufacturing process and designs
Work with customers as needed to support design for manufacturing
Recommend software, tooling, and machine purchases to management
Provide technical support to operations and quality department
Design tooling and fixturing as needed to support customer products
Review and implement continual improvement to manufacturing methods through the ECR system
Communicate well verbally and in writing with both internal and external stakeholders
Maintain a positive and productive working relationship with all HFI departments
